I would definatly go for Ardennes. I quite like the Tdi Classics myself although a TVR spec V8 would be mental:D.

What colour is your '72 at the moment?, I would love another classic in Ardennes green, that and Plymouth blue look the best. One of my Classics was black which I didn't think suited it that well to tell the truth. What about the 200/300 Tdi for the original poster?.

I'm pretty sure the brake pads were the same on mine, so I would imagine the calipers are too. Sorry to hear about your bike crash too, it's never nice coming off, even more so when there's a lorry involved.

I've had a few Classics one was an F reg 3.5 which was absolutely great, the next was a converted 300 TDI which was good, especially on fuel! and the 3rd was an LPG converted 3.9, out of all of them the 3.9 engine was a bit of an oil drinker but then the car had a hard life and was on 200k miles...

Can anyone reccomend a good all purpose that comes in 255/55/19, it seems to be a bit of a hard size to find anything in.

Got an L322 and I really want to do some laning, but am a bit worried about the paintwork, can anyone reccomend any lanes that arn't very close with bushes and trees, not worried about mud etc just don't want to damage the paint.

Alternator is no more than £490 as I've just paid this for one from Eurocarparts, you also get a £100 service charge of that back when you return the old one as it's an exchange part, about 2 hours labour more or less.Their talking utter crap, I would take it somewhere else.

Thanks, the thing I was most worried about was the electrics, and air suspension, I also believe there's a common problem with the heating/air conditioning system which can be expensive, the Classics I've had have niggled but it was nearly always something I could live with and cheap to fix...

I've had a couple of Classics in the past which I've loved even with their niggles like sticking central locking, tailgates not shutting etc but they never seemed to cause any major problems or leave you stuck, I wanted to hear what the P38 diesel is really like for reliability as people do seem...

just wondered what other LR or even non LR wheels can you put on an L322 may help being a little smaller too, i want a different set so i can leave the 19' Vouge wheels with standard road biased tyres on then quickly swap a set over for going green laning, has anyone else done this?, any help...

just wondering what to look out for on them, it would definatly be the 4.4 and not the TD6 as i would want it to move quicker than walking pace, i would be looking at earlyish ones 2002/2003, just wondered what thier like to live with really and what to look out for on them, ive owned a few RR...
