Brought my series to get plates changed over this morning to irish vehicle reg tax office, inspector wanted to see stamp on chassis and won't clear customs until I have located it. Where the fudge is this? There is waxoyl on chassis so peeling back is gonna tricky so any help would be great?!

Making slow progress! Tried good old nitromors this evening it definitely shifted old paint quicker than sander just on its own, now to tackle bonnet and tip if wings, rear doors, roof, door tops........the list goes on!!!! :)

Continued sanding her down and admiring all her layers of colured paint!

How long is a length of string! There are lots out there and prices really vary from some on eBay for half nothing to restored models, in my opinion you would prob need to spend a few bob more than 1k if you want one that won't financiàlly break you! If your prepared to do most of the work you...

Update! Started rear panel using 80 grit paper on orbital sander, getting right back to original paint now...... Albeit slowly looking at pic do you think I'm far enough back with stripping?

So did a bit with orbital this evening only using 120 grit (chicken!) and seems to be shifting quite well, going at it full on tomorrow got some more heavier grit. Hopefully will post some pics tomo, thanks for all the help keep it coming! ;))

Lots to think about, gonna start sanding it back this weekend with Orbital sander and see what way it's looking before I decide next plan of attack. Hopefully I can get most of it off fingers crossed ;)

That's a good question have been to do body shops and both made a mountsin out of the rivets and handpaint and said they would both have to be stripped right back even with the use of an isolator, hence why I'm doing stripping myself and trying to cut costs as best I can
