Hi, I have a 1974 series 3 petrol, I've noticed when I change from 3rd to 4th gear the power just dips and it takes a while to build up almost like going from 3rd to 5th on a 5speed box, anybody have any idea what might cause this or is it just par for the course on series 3's? Thanks

Keep her going Neil, have had lots of issues like these of late the problem is handing over the money! Honestly there should have been an ATM machine included with my landy as part of the sale!! Still love it though

True, I suppose on the flip side you don't want to under value it either. I think the high prices with galv chassis you are referring to are a bit out there but 4-6k surely can't be miles off and will still cover you.

Same with my petrol and as the guys said its a case of using the choke, mine would generally cut out from first start if I don't give enough choke but after 4-5 mins she will run on her own.

Great start also jealous of the workspace! About the tub cappings I shotblasted mine then had them re galvanised, came up brand new and much cheaper than replacing. Might be worth a look.
