Welded up the O/s footwell today. First i cut all the rust out Welded Painted Used 3mm steel chequer plate which will out last the rest of the landy!

Ripping out the motor to put an even older one in, as its replacement. Took off the front end today, ready for the engine conversion.

I fitted a smaller diameter steering wheel, so i have more elbow room, cuase defenders dont leave too much space to turn the wheel imo, and its a bouns being leather too! :)

I always use leather for gearknobs and steering wheels whatever the vehicle, always find them the most comfortable imo. i'm inclined to think the same as you that stainless surrounds wont look right against the plastic back grounds, thats why i have asked for some one to show pictures so i can...

Cheap & tacky?? Where's the proof? How can you say they are cheap and tacky, when you dont have one or pictures of one? Stainless steel is not cheap by any means, but it may look ****e thats why i want to see one fitted! What a knob! :D always use a leather steering wheel and gear knobs!
