Clutch Pedal Part - HDC Sensor Clip

Possibly a totally different setup Clutchy... Mine is a 2002 (01 reg) TD4 and there is a definitely a stop... it's apparently a magnetic switch for the hill descent control (so a Landy tech told me at the dealer in Stockport, when I passed by). The end of the clutch pedal rests on it and it...

Replacement Wheels for MY04 TD4 Freelander

Is what I was just about to suggest... loads on there and you'd get a set that needs 4 new tyres for well under £150.

It could also be the CV joint...

Clutch Pedal Part - HDC Sensor Clip

Hiya dudes, My Freebie has a bit of an issue with the clutch pedal coming too high up after being released. The reason for this is that my foot slipped off it a few weeks ago and snapped the little plastic clip that holds the HDC sensor in place. I've done a search and several people seem to...

    Leaking Electric Sunroof

Cheers Ming, will give it a go... can't be completely worn as I've only noticed the leak recently during very heavy rain.

    Leaking Electric Sunroof

Sunroof on my ES station wagon has developed a bit of a leak... it's nothing major, but we've had some heavy rain lately and the little drip strip thingy at the front has been almost constantly wet. It's definitely a leak and not condensation (checked with a hose when i cleaned it). Can I...

Changing the Head Unit and/or CD Autochanger

Wanna fit a bluetooth mp3 playing cd head unit to my 2002 ES. Don't wanna have to get all the carpets up etc to lay cables, but I still want the option of an autochanger... so is there a head unit that will replace the tape deck with a bluetooth (for mob phone handsfree) mp3 player, and still...

Are you sure it's the cable? Have you had it out to see it? The cables themelves are pretty tough.

    electric window problem

I doubt it's your cable that's snapped, it'll be the little [crappy] plastic guide at the end of the window runner. Mine went in the driver's side rear door a few weeks ago... took the unit out and fixed it with araldite and zip ties. Stronger than new! I think i took a picture of it, so...

    Sunroof problem

Yep, mine's just gone similarlty... was going to get it fixed, but then decided to hang on until spring so I can lube it up ready for summer. You probably need two new runners, which are £80 each, but I believe a monkey could fit them. Otherwise, it's a new motor unit, which is about £125...

    Freelander advice please

You can pick up a basic td4 for under £5k at a landy auction... will generally be about Y reg and the S model, but you'll get an ex lease or fleet car with FSH within your budget. Obviously you're taking a risk buying from auction, but a 3 month warranty isn't wiorht much anyway. Take a...

Fitting a Fuel Burning Heater Aftermarket

Anyway, enough silliness for a minute... I see there is one on ebay for £250 second hand, so I may get one cheaper if I find one at a breaker's yard locally. Will drop this guy a line and ask how much fuss it is too fit and if the wires are already there. Do you need any more switches in...

    MUD competition

Should have a few of you beaten this weekend... I'll probably end up towing a few people off a muddy field on Sunday morning after a big dance festival near us in Cheshire! :D :D :D The quad bike might be a better option though, but I can still get my hippo plenty muddy with other off road...

    vedgey gaylander

Ming, I'm a qualified chemist... I have to admit I'm finding all the layman's speak a bit confusing, with regard to making biodiesel etc. (too many differing opinions as to why things are done) Do you know any sites that might be of use to me and give methods (with reasoning) for making...

If you had a normally aspirated 2.5 diesel defender, do you reckon you could run it on pure veggy oil? Or would some additive be required even for this simple engine?

    Strange Vibration

It's pretty easy to knock the balance weights off alloy wheels... I've jet washed them off before now. The garage could have balanced them perfectly, then knocked a strip of weights off - by accident - on your brake disk, when refitting the wheel.
