Well, after all that faffing around with the undertray and changing the oil etc, I was reversing down my drive with the door open ajar and my hand on the handle, when a gust of wind caught the door and blew it back.... it then got jammed on the fence post and before I could brake, it ripped it...

Gonna drop the oil on my td4 tonight... had a quick look at it last night and saw that the engine undertray appears to be rivetted on, with only two bolts holding it on at the back edge... Haynes manual says "remove screws". Do I need to drill the rivets and re-rivet afterwards or am I missing...

Well, after purchasing the necessary service items I found out my TD4 has a K&N filter fitted... I've stuck the new one in for now, as the K&N is filthy. The question is... how do I clean it and do I need to oil it when I've cleaned it all up? Will anywhere clean it for me if I send it off...

Cheers guys, is it worth using a can of engine flush? Or is this no good for diesels?

No... although I pass a stealer on the way home, so might call in. Problem is they'll probably just say "oh, leave it with us for an hour and give us 60 quid and we'll do a diagnosis." Will give them a call though and see what they say... good thinking batman!

I would have thought if it was something as big as the prop shaft or even an axle, I'd have felt it through the steering, pedals and/or gearbox. All suggestions welcome, so keep em coming! I'm determined to find it this weekend!
