The clunk is like a "stepping" sound coming from the rear and it is noticeable more when reversing. I'm not panicking just yet... I've done a search and will check the VCU (paint-a-line trick) and the diff mounts etc. Any other suggestions gratefully received!

Worth mentioning , I think that the rear window is working fine... goes down when the handle is pulled and up when the door is eventually closed.

Aye... the joy of Ebay and second hand parts is that the guy had left the window regulator, window and latch intact, so these (off my old door) will be going on Ebay asap to offset a bit of the cost! The regulator alone should fetch 30 squid or so... Could really do with those rubber strips...

Will take some over the weekend in the light... no problem. The paint is badly scuffed off where it contacted the edge of the front wing. The door is bowed out about an inch, at most, but it's enough to mean you can't get the bugger back on it's hinges, if only to keep it safe! The hinges...
