    bumper convertion

Just over £500, had to get a couple of bits from main dealer what was expensive. Had to buy the tailgate trim what cost £118 & a couple of arches £42 but everything else was off ebay. Its the light wiring thats got me a bit stumped.

    bumper convertion

Its pretty straight forward on the 1.8 or Td4 models, there is some minor mods you have to do like change direction of towing eye etc but I'm not sure about the V6 model.. I belive they have air blasts & stuff the other models do not have. There is a thread that covers the conversion on here, I...

    td4 06 rear noise like a fan

If it makes the noise whilst driving then it could be the centre prop bearings shot. When they go they sort of sound a cross between a windy noise & a sort of grinding. I have found in my experience that once the centre bearings go then the VCU is not that far behind them. Check VCU otherwise...

will it be the stalk or wiring?

It sounds like its the stalk but it could well be an earthing problem somewhere if the lights are dim.

    Td5 Drivebelt Adjuster Issue

I hope someone can help? My drivebelt looked a bit frayed so decided to change it. I released the adjuster pulley, took off the old belt & fitted the new one. I then tried tightning up the adjuster pulley bolt what tightened up ok but it did not take up the slack. I then undid the bolt and moved...

    A new noise :-(

There does not seem to be any movement in the pulley but if I was to take off the belt & then start the engine, if I still have the noise its safe to say its the crank pulley & if the noise isnt there it will be something else. Will it be ok to take the belt off & fire the engine up for a few...

Is anyone out there happy with their FL ??

Its a pain in the a*** but the Mrs likes it. Owned the thing since May 07 & in that time: 1) Clutch 2) 2x Prop Bearings 3) New tyres (They wear bloody quick!) 4) IRD 5) It has developed a top end tap on starting it today.
