got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

Quick question. My daughter's been rushed in to hospital some 80 miles away. I've not had chance to get this problem sorted out yet due to the holidays. Would it be ok to use the car still?

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

Ok thanks. Will start my search tomorrow. Will everything need bleeding after fitting? because if so I may just let the garage do it. Read a few nightmare scenarios about bleeding and I know if it went wrong I'd be stuck

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

So could I just replace the master cylinder without the replacing the whole thing. Probably not the sharpest when it comes to this stuff.

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

So would it be a new clutch and slave cylinder If bleeding doesn't fix it? I know nothing at all about cars. If it's just a top up of dot 4 i can do that if i know where to stick it!!

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

The biting point is a little low but nothing major. I thought it was strange, no hint of slip at all

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

Where would I find them, without trying to sound a bit thick. Been offered a new clutch for £450 +inc slave cylinder fitted. On my old 1.8 the gears were really stiff and the previous owner replaced a bracket to do with the clutch pedal, I know this isn't the same engine etc but could it be that?

got a feeelander adventura td4 2.0 on 06 plate and have a clutch problem

Had the car a little over a month and it pulls really well. No sign of slipping in any gear. The other day i noticed the gears were a little notchy but ok. Just done a run to my daughter over 70 mile away and when you gear down at junctions etc it feels like the clutch isn't disengaged properly...

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

Starting to remind me of the movie - Christine. Tis just a pity it can't rebuild itself haha

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

Starting to wonder if my car is haunted now... Then leak never goes below minimum on the header tank on a 8 mile run. Surely if it was the head gasket, it would lose all it's fluid while the engine is running. On top of that, my drivers side door lock which stopped working from the fob or centre...

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

Another thing that may be related, i had to tighten the clip on the hose going in to the white housing thing (thermostat i think) last week as it was slightly leaking from there. That was cured straight away. Did a 140 mile round trip with no loss but now we have the above problem

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

Oh heck. If it's the HG how much are we talking? Just had a run in it and it seems ok when its hot.

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

It only seems to leak down to a certain level and the engine was cold when it was leaking. Head gasket was done by previous owner but dont know what the solution was.

Crazy coolant leak with not many ideas

Noticed my coolant was Low so i topped it up. without even starting the car up i noticed it was already leaking from the right hand side as you face the engine. The water is on the side of the engine. if you look at the photos, could you give me some ideas please. thanks
