    TD4 Crankcase breather filter missing.

Went to change the crankcase breather filter on the TD4 on Sunday. Removed the casing only to be greated by nothing... No filter installed. Probably been running for the last 8K miles without one. Installed new seals and a Land rover element (will upgrade to the BMW one at some point). I can...

New Front Tyres....now a bust rear Diff?

Think the main theory behind equipping the rear wheels with new tyres is that people tend to drive within the limits of their front tyres (cornering/braking) therefore if you fit the best tyres on the rear, you will always be driving within the abilities of the rear tyres, because the front...

    champagne trim colour match

I dissagree. I think it's a little too light in colour unless you sand right down to the black plastic, but yes, very close. Always good to use the search function before posting - I used Ford Champagne Gold, which is a little more 'beige' and a better match. I matched mine by eye using an Dash...

    Bumper Parts

Have you got a soldering iron? If so, you can melt some ABS plastic (get black) to the parts that have broken off to aid retension. It is quite possible to biuld up plastic parts this way, without the need for glue.

    Terminally I'll Freelander Td4 2004 ?

Low fuel pressure you say? How many miles on this car? Fuel filter element should be replaced every 5 years/60,000 miles. Is it long overdue?

    And they call us Gaylanders!

Ain't you got some bling wheels to polish oldskool? I think the driver is being considerate. After all, he doesn't want to swerve across multiple lanes of traffic when his heap breaks down.

Cheap Budget tyres on Freelander TD4

Black Circles are doing some Kumho KL78's fitted for around £75 a corner for our ickle 195/80 R15s. E-tyres knocked a few per cent off a set of Falken Landair A/T's to make them the same price and will come fit them at our house on Saturday. Gotta love where competition takes us!

    Terminally I'll Freelander Td4 2004 ?

Given the value of this car, and the fact that it is driveable would it not be an idea to get it booked into a specialist for them to have a look at of a morning?

    Why Gaylanders

The men have been forced to cycle or walk as hefty repair bills have meant that only one car can be supported ;) Had our Freelander a month or so now and only get positive comments about it so I'm guessing the 'gaylander' comment is jealousy!

Cheap Budget tyres on Freelander TD4

Sorry to dredge this one up but... It seems a lot of you are poo-pooing Kumho tyres without having first hand experience of them. I've had both good and bad experiences. When Kumho were becoming commonly available in this country (would say around 2002) I had a set on my Megane coupe. They were...
