    Superwinch had died!

Going to........ 1) Try it again as I WD'd the connections on Wed. 2) Check all connections and terminals. 3) Bypass the isolator. 4) Clean contacts on solenoid (in it's not a sealed unit). Failing that I'll keep taking bits off it until I can see a clutch or brushes and clean up as much as...

    green laning in hereford

Was laning NW of Hereford on the weekend. Based in Bucks, so a long trip but well worth it. Quite a few W and NW of Kington, and a very good but challenging one at Evenjobb. Very tight, rocky 45deg angles and a ford. Good luck! James

    Superwinch had died!

Thanks Mr Noisy. Yes I have an isolator so will double check connections etc. If I can persuade it to work then it sounds like it needs using once a month. James

    Superwinch had died!

It could be. I've sprayed the contacts with WD. I went through a ford on Sunday and it's been garaged since. Do you think it's just a case of drying out? I assumed, because the solenoid clicks for forward and reverse that it's likely to be the motor? Do they need taking apart and bushes...

    Superwinch had died!

I fitted a new Superwinch 8500 to my 90 a year ago and have only used it once to recover a lightweight that got stuck. I've just checked it today and it doesn't work. All I get is a click from the solenoid. And no action from the motor. The drum will turn in both directions with the clutch...

Any green lanes near Pitstone/Leighton Buzzard?

Mike, I live in the next village to Pitstone, and unfortunately can report that there is sweet FA! Just the other side of Tring in a village called Hastoe there are a couple but think they are closed until April from memory. There is also one which connects Vale Road (between Chesham and...

    Mid-Wales Laning Advice Needed

I'm appealing to anyone who knows the Mid-Wales lanes well to give me a bit of advice. At short notice a few friends have put their hands up for some laning this weekend. There will be 3 vehicles and part of the group are in Cirencester on Saturday night. Because of this we've decided to travel...

Nope, not the hazard switch...... Any other pointers? Perhaps an area underneath the vehicle where the wires come together in a connector block etc that I can look at? :(

Indicators working both sides at same time :(

Thanks guys. Yes, by relay I mean flasher unit.... and yes I have switched off the hazzards!!! I fitted LED lights to the 90 about 6 months ago and all has been ok until I went Green laning a few weeks ago (hence why I think moisture has got in somewhere). I have also been told that LED's...

    90 300 TDI (NAS-a-like) Beds/Bucks

Hi everyone! I am based on the Beds/Bucks/Herts boarder (near Tring), and own a 90 Soft-Top. I also have a Discovery 4 as a company car so as you can see I'm a bit of a Landy nut! I use my 90 on high days and holidays (and runs to the tip after Christmas!). I mostly use her for green laning...

Indicators working both sides at same time :(

My 90 has developed a bit of a problem......... when I use the indicators it flashes all indicators at the same time (like the hazard lights are on), but......... when I connect a trailer board they work exactly as they should (vehicle and trailer board)!!! I have checked all bulbs and...
