Main bearings

If you were my son I would be very very worried about taking a trip like that without back up and access to loads of cash to get me home when it all goes wrong because I sure reckon it would go wrong on a vehicle with that budget.My advice dont do it !!!

My local LR dealer wants £235.00 plus vat to replace my FPR which is about the same as my usual garage so i am using main dealer as I assume they do these all the time and know exactl how to do em.

Question...Assuming carpet is wet is there any problem in leaving in till summer when they should dry out, as i see there is a cover over the floor panel which i assume will prevent corrosion as this and of course the slight damp smell is the only problem or am I just copping out of doing...

The cigar type fits in the socket but does not work.I would be supprised if its faulty as its not been used although.It does have a seperate higher volt fuse than the front socket so this makes me think it is different.I think I will check that fuse.If not its a call to Landrover on Monday.

I want to use the 12v electrical socket behind the rear seat to power my new 12v car fridge.The cigar lighter on the front operates my sat nav so unable to use that one. The socket does not seem to work with the normal cigar lighter fitting. According to the Land Rover hand book this socket can...

To be honest my clutch on my 2002 td5 68.000 miles seems ok,wife drives it and has never made a comment so it does not sound normal try another td5 .Just pretend you are interested in buying it and take it for a test.

I went an independant guy, Whoooo its a right pain doing them disco's, gonna cost ya. Contacted a mobile tow bar fitter job done in 15 mins £30.00 to include a relay for the caravan.

Discos leak, up to and including TD5 the sunroofs are just useless.

Beware discos leak !! fact, up to and including td5 sunroofs are next best to useless.Great vehicles when they are behaving. I have a sort of love hate thingy with mine LOL !!

Have a look on the auto trader site.Td5's still holding very well on price,also not many private discos for sale. Traders still ask a lot for even very high milers.I reckon you could get near what you paid !!

There is an unpleasant smell a bit like maybe cat pee !! stale socks !! I put this down to the carpet being wet / damp what would do ya reckon??

In my attempt to eliminate the water leak into the drivers side footwell. I have taped up all area's that I can see, could some one tell me is it possible for water to leak from the area where the roof rails are bolted to the roof ?? Thanks

I used to use old engine oil on all my cars in the past.its a good rust preventer if a little messy to apply.Its good but not as good as waxoil but cheaper.If you leave for a day no drips.

I have a build up of water collecting in drivers side footwell,not loads but enough to make the carpet wet. I guess this has to be a series of elimination to find the leak so I have started by putting tape over all the front windsreen seals.I have already taped the sunroofs as they also leaked...
