are seriously considering cutting that land rover about? its criminal and you could make so much money selling it, get it bck on the road using corect parts and sell it to someone who will apreciaate it for what it is!! Sorry to rant but you cant cut these series ones about its history!!!!!

If the series one club new what you were about to do to that vehcle they would not be happy, there are very few of the 2wd left, sell it as it is and with the LOTS of money that you will get from it buy a 4x4!

Just got hold of a series 3 gearbox to fit in my 2a, which clutch do i use? Do i have to fit a series 3 clutch aswell or can i use the exsisting 2a one?

Dave is right! I have run up to 80% on a 2.25 diesel but you will kill injector pumps if it freezes i was lucky managed to pick up another pump for £10, doing 80 miles aday its still worth it even if you bugger a pump every few months!! So if anyone wants a job lot of siezed injector pumps make...

piston rings and valve seals will need doing! But once you have got the head off you will probably decide it needs reboring which will meen new pistons.

dont buy cheap wheel cylinders!! they last about the same in days as they cost you in pounds! they are Cr*p
