    Mystery Wobble

So my guys have had it for a few days now and apparently the rear prop shaft was not great, a bit of movement on the UJ and the coupling was in a bit of a mess so that has been changed but the main problem they have found was that the VC was shot, so they have replaced the whole transfer box...

    Cracking door holds

Hi I found that on the first item in Wammers' list the hole goes oval over time an causes the crack as the pin moves, it's about a ten minute fix well worth it

hello everyone im new to landy

Hi My idea was to NOT spend 20k on a car but still have something that was nice to drive and had off road ability. I like the boxy shape of the P38 and I could not find anything else I liked, I had just sold my brand new Defender 90 that I could get on with so the P38 was to be my cheap...

heater blower fans got mind of thier own!!!

heater blower fans got mind of thier own!!!

Thanks Wammers Yes kit is on its way, just wondered, as the transistors have a good resistance reading across both of them. I guess I'll just replace them and take it from there. Thank you also for the "Island" link the other day.......can't see how I missed that, getting a few senior...

heater blower fans got mind of thier own!!!

Just whipped out the right hand blower motor which was running full tilt with a view to fitting new transistors. However there is plenty of resistance across the 2 transistors and they are not shorting to the case, any of you clever chaps know if I should carry on with the replacement. or is...

    Front Diff pinion seal

Thanks but I am sending the car to my specialist to do a load of stuff and was just looking to get some parts so I could get the vehicle back quicker. I have found a kit on Rimmer's site for 30.00 + vat maybe that's the way to go and just use the seal as the other bits look pretty crap

    Front Diff pinion seal

    Discs and pads replacement

Hi Zaff See my post on page 1, I have fitted the Delphi pads and discs, however I also replaced the callipers and the brakes are very good now. I would just go with the Delphi option, as wiser heads than mine have stated, the grooved/drilled option is purely aesthetic in this instance, if...

    Discs and pads replacement

Hi Domino I just replaced my front discs, pads and callipers. I got the Delphi discs and pads, carriers and Britpart callipers. The general consensus of the forum was that the Britpart calipers, although not great, have such a good price (33.00 +vat) as apposed to 100.00 plus for an OEM and...

    May be of interest

Yes I thought that was also a bit odd, not really sure who this programme is aimed at. They also did one on the 993 Porsche, of which I have a little experience, there were also some very strange priority fixes on that episode too. Nice that they gave the P38 Range Rover a good review tho'

I created a little airlock in my system a few weeks ago causing the engine to get warm, the guys on the forum gave me this filing procedure, no problems since. Start again with a cold engine, top up, start the engine and continue to top up with the engine idling, ensure you have water coming...

    Mystery Wobble

Ok thanks, will do, it just doesn't feel like tyres, I thought that was old hat these days with modern balancing equipment. Strangely, the rear nearside Pirelli destroyed itself for no apparent reason after about 5k miles Thanks for the advice Ash
