Am I Mad? Please say yes...

Just search the buying guides re chassis issues. I am probably not the best person to ask being; A) first time owner B) Having just bought a Landy that needed a chassis. Just be careful with TD5 Chassis's they seem to be made of worse metal than the older ones and Richards Chassis's told me...

Yes try the for sale section out but probably best on fleabay, just be careful that it is legit. See the stolen Landy's forum regarding lifted Landy parts appearing on eBay. Last thing you want is to get your new pride and joy confiscated just because it's built on a dodgy chassis.

Hi mate, thanks. This was a new custom chassis supplied courtesy of Richards Chassis's(Great guys) oh yeah with a guest appearance from my wallet! Problem with galved salvo chassis is you are never sure if they are straight and by the time you find out it is a bit late. Try stock piling bits...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Started fitting new forward facing Puma/TDCI rear seats to the modified rear tub. Went better than expected, but as always had a few niggles to iron out😃

Do early td5 defender's have a mas flywheel assy

Hi Cornish, I have just had to replace the DMF on mine which is a 2001 as part of a rebuild. At first I was being quoted silly prices around £400+ but managed to source one for £216+VAT which wasn't too bad. There is a company called Rakeway Engineering that make a solid mass flywheel...

Hi from a soon to be restored 90 owner in Cheshire.

Hi Jay, I have uploaded some of the pics yesterday to an album. Not only am I a newbie to Landy ownership but also to forum posting :o. Started reading a thread about scammer's using forums like this to scout out vehicles, panicked and locked the album down.

Hi from a soon to be restored 90 owner in Cheshire.

Hi BGB, Not many, the thing has only done 57K with all old MOT's (unsure if speedo has been disconnected between) but having contacted a couple of the previous owners it seemed fairly legit. Think it had been used for dipping a speedboat in the sea because the chassis was just shot. I did...

Hi mate, Would be interested in the dog guard and steering wheel boss. I am in Liverpool on Saturday morning so could collect at the same time. What sort of money would you want for both if you still have them? Cheers

Hi from a soon to be restored 90 owner in Cheshire.

Just thought I should say hello to all and big thanks for all the advice and info I have managed to get from reading this forum. The rebuild of my defender 90 would have been almost impossible to understand as a first time Landy owner without this brilliant resource. 😀 Thanks Guys and...
