is there some way of repairing the balls then? As im going to be taking it apart and i know the swivel balls are pitted then it makes sense to do the job once and replace the balls. I wouldnt trust britpart parts for the job but there must be some out there that are ok?

Its about a 55 mile round trip to work and the focus does around 55MPG with carefull driving so it makes economical sense to have this as my main vehicle the when it dies buy something even more frugal for the trip to work and keep the defender for everything else.
