a good trolley jack! the ones supplied by LR are very optimistic. the one supplied with the p38 looks like it wouldnt hold up a mini, never mind a 3 ton lump like a rangey.

it depends which type of guard you bought. the official lr brackets fit on the ceiling, then the guard slides onto the brackets. i didnt bother i just used a luggage strap to secure the guard round the head rests. :)

ive had a couple of head gaskets, both with these exact symptoms. no visible residue in oil, no leaks, but deff the head gasket imo. the head gasket set aint that much (£70 or so), its if any other damage has been done when its been getting hot, thats the expensive bit. get it checked asap.
