Have just retrofitted Cruise Control to my 03 facelift TD5. I have located the switch in the correct place aboe the filler release. There are 2 more blanks to the right - I am assuming that 1 is for the reverse sensor - the next retro fit - and I am not sure what the 3rd from top is for...

I have an FM conector for my iphone - causes problems because its a phone - but the fm connection is problematic at best even when in airline mode and the phones off. A hard wired solution via the amp would make more sense, but at keast te fm version I have also charges the unit.

The demountables seem to have more stuff - and bigger because of it - not sure how this would impact driveability - what would the VW be lke off road - do you mean one of the air cooled ones?

Actually looks better than some - with les over hang at the rear. Can't say I'm sold on the idea but at that price it would be good for a one off trip and sell on.

If you got a diff lock you got a sticker that says so - I have 03 plate with diff lock (and sticker). Light comes on for diff lock - and stays on for a while after but as you say there is no light for low ratio. Mate has an 03 same spec but no diff lock.

Y'all LRO magazine sometime last year did a feature on a guy who had ordered a 130 camper conversion. Muts nuts of a job it was too, not a demountable! Lost my copy and I can't find the company on the net - does anyone know who the company was?
