    I had the chap that fixed my headlining take a look at mine. He said that all the drain holes were clear. I left my load cover closed overnight and in the morning there was a puddle of water on it. :(

    Maybe try prying it open. It locks on two points but I don't think the tangs? are too long.

    Thanks again, would it do any harm if I twisted it a little to loosen it? What is the switch/button connected to, I was worried about doing it some damage? Sorry to be a pain.

    Sorry to drag this from the depths but, does anyone know how to remove the Automatic gear knob from a Freelander 1? The gaiter is completely perished and I need to change it.

    Having the headlining stuck back up, and he's making a new leather gaiter for the gearstick. The last one is perishing. Edit: Bugger, the trimmer said that as it's an automatic he can't get the gearknob off. He said it was a big job. Finding out that's not the case.
