Bleedin inverted snobs :) I run a bog standard Disco 1 (only cos I've only just got it and cant afford to do anything with it yet), having "graduated" over the years from 109's and 110's, wave at all Landy drivers and am always surprised by how few wave back. I didn't realise the latest...

You couldn't afford me, besides which, I'm too bloody old to clean mine too often, let alone anyone else's. :D

Practised making a landy look shiny today. Gave the Disco a wash, dry, clay, and ended with a three part prep, polish and wax. That should last it a while while I recover from all the aches :D

Thanks. Another job added to the list for the weekend :) How hard is it for someone with no training to use a MIG welder? Is it worth trying to teach myself or is it better to pay someone to do the job properly?

Passenger window makes a very loud bang after about an inch of opening. Opens and shuts ok apart from that. Any ideas as to what might need replacing/repairing?

keep 'em coming - I used to have a v8 and I'm not doing a very good job of convincing myself that a tdi is the way to go - so I'm really considering the other track and trying to persuade she who must be obeyed that a v8 makes sense - except I can't keep a straight face when I'm saying it

Sure will - seems to me that as soon as I start seriously looking prices start rising and the quality may not be as stated. It's really hard making the head rule and not rushing out and buying the first one that comes along. But I will wait - a bargain would be nice but just plain old value...
