your best bet would be a hacksaw blade holder try Irwin Mini Hacksaw 24Tpi 12" (300mm) from screw fix £7.48 plus get some spare blades. will take a while but cheaper in the end
how will it come out with the flywheel attached. would you not have to remove the gearbox first.
how come you couldnt get the bottom of the con rod? what technique did u use?
crack open the pipes to an injector and make sure there is fuel coming out of it when u turn the engine over.
also silly suggestion im sure but was it a peterol you converted it from if so have you got it all out the tank.
Make sure the chassis is solid. Don't be afraid to give it a good poke. There are some dodgy people out there. It's amazing what fresh waxoil covers up. Find out what needs doing for the mot as even little jobs can end up getting expensive.
yeah I got one from paddocks. it is a britpart unit and comes complete with new mounting rubbers. it has an inbuilt oil cooler.
only thing i had to do was remove the oilcooler bushes and apply ptfe tape to the threads or they seep oil.
