Changed my dual mass and clutch on disco td5 not so long ago, moved engine forward as far as possible. Not to many wires to worry about, it took a whole day and the next morning to complete. The only problem we had was lining the engine back up with the box due to it tilting over when we split...
Better noise, yes!!! supposed to give more power. got one on my td5. have a look on twisted performance, think it tellsa you what power gain you should get.
Yes mate a 'fast' knob, had mine on for at least 15/20k and no wear yet and the pads are still like new on the fronts, had to change back pads though. But I think thats down to a sticky caliper:rolleyes: .
Hi all, I'm due to change my brake lines for extended ones and was wondering if the system has to be pressure bled or the normal pump the pedal job??? vehicle is a discovery2 td5. also do I start furthest away or nearest to servo thingy???
Thanks
I take it your talking a disco here!! The only protection under mine is a plastic shield which is between engine and axle/steering bars. All you can really get at is the sump drain plug. Don't know if this helps you???
My disco is a manual and I don't know why it runs at lower revs but it is, and cruising on the motorway is a joy now as it doesn't seem like it needs an extra gear anymore!!!
Oh yeah, much more responsive. The rubber on the original can expand upto three times it's normal size when under pressure resulting in the turbo taking longer to build up it's boost. since I've changed mine there is a recognisable difference!!! All the best with your mods!
