    Thanks guys, i have recently got into the habit of sitting in P. As far as knackered brakes only did these 20k miles ago discs and pads, it feels like gear box to me not releasing when wheels are turning really slowly, happens at its worst if im slowing from say 50 mph to zero at junctions...

    Recently and getting more often when i pull up at the lights the disco (Auto 2001) seems to still want to push but does so in a buffering/jerking manner. Im slowing up in 'D' approaching the lights applying the brake's and the car seems to be fighting it, pushing to go, eventually the car stops...

    Stick your air con on, on a hot day after twenty mins or so it will be running out a pipe underneath gear box area, this panicked me when I first saw it, if this is blocked apparantly you get wet carpets. Just a thought

    2001 TD5 Auto

    I had the auto box oil changed on mine, and then had issues, but was resolved as not enough oil put back in, luckily no damage done, I too was going to drop it all and clean the inner filter. take a look at this site he explains everything with excellent pictures of each step. Hope it helps...

    A new light on the dashboard!!!!

    Mine does this as well, usually sorted by looking at all connections under the passenger seat, multi blocks etc (im sure its a yellow one) mine is a TD5 2001, anyway make sure they are all connected properly and it should reset.

    Mine did this, makes all the right noises but doesn't unlock, Im sure the answer was to carefully pop the Land Rover badge off and squirt wd40 into all the workings, worked on mine any how. Someone will put ya right if im talking ****e. Good luck !

    Discovery 2 Horn problems

    My TD5 has done this, I looked at the buttons on the S/wheel, you may find that one of them is still slightly pressed in, not fully out. Any vibration, like a passing car then sets it off. Worth checking.
