mine (2001) has always hissed at junctions and when turned off, just thought it was the suspension letting some pressure off, have heared other td5's do this. Do a search on 'Hissing' there are loads of replies from AC,suspension, water overflow, the answer is on here somewhere. Good luck mate

M & S lights flashing, with D flashing on dash and red light by gear selecter flashing = limp home mode, mine did this and after turn off and back on all was fine, is this not the XY switch what ever that is, only going by other posts?? I know nothing !! just tryin to help.

Auto box oil change/top up is well documented on the old faithful site, link below. This site is great for quick questions /chat/ banter you name it, its just excellent. But Discovery 2 site (for those that have one that is) answers most problems with the aid of pictures.A great reference...

Is the MAF the 'thin wire in a tube' connected to the air filter?, as im gonna check mine out now if it is. What sort of cost are these then? Springbok, has yours been fully serviced oils / filters etc ?

Well what can I say, all oils/filters changed including the auto box oil and inner filter, gears are silky smooth and she dosnt tug or delay on pull away now, so its now over to a remap but who will i go with? cheers all

I go with injectors and the washers, mine did this, no power loads of smoke. After H/gask change mine was just so underpowered I could of cried. Found out that the end of the injectors were knackered, have been told that they are 'rifled' inside and that if they over heat (like mine did) or if...

GUVNER, where abouts are midland gearbox? might be worth them checking mine as mine is defo doing something odd, as stated before it seems to judder / push when braking and whenm i pull away sometimes nothing happens but rev increase and then it suddenly tuggs, as if it had a clutch suddenly biting.

Mine does this too, never seems to go above 40mph when cold and then as the TC kicks in all is well. But mine also seems to act odd at lights or if i free wheel (in gear just no gas) i can go to pull away and nothing happens straight away if i ease off the gas you feel the car "engage" gear...

I think, and we will stand corrected im sure, that you undo the sump plug on the G/ box side and if it pours out your ok, no way other to check. Some people say it never needs changing, I did mine at 80k and it really played up afterwards, make sure you get the correct amount back in as i was...
