If its stuck its cos somthing is wrong. Get is stripped apart and new bearings atleast. But probably cheaper to just get a new one.

They shouldn't let you drive it for atleast a few hours. Ideally over night. In at half 11. Means even if got started at 12 they would have taken an hour minimum So half 1 say. Leaves an hour for the glue to set... IMO not nearly long enough.

Have you tried bump starting it. Sounds like your starter given up.. Will still turn over if glow plugs are shafted.

Blue smoke is oil.. How far have you driven since gasket to try clear it? Did you get a skin and pressure test? Of not did you flat bar it to check for warp. Did it get Hot and possibly crack a ring.... Lots of reasons this could be happening after a big job like head. But because you say blue...

How long after they fitted it did they let you drive it away?!

Got a gravel drive... Can't tell it leaks. And when you can. Just wash it over with some petrol/ brake cleaner. Zero weeds aswell ;)
