Fluids were checked and topped up in April. No leaks from transfer or gear box other than slight weeping here and there. Landy is pulling well and this noise only occurs when I am feathering off the power in 4th/5th so i will leave things alone for now.

Just replaced lift pump with new one. Very slight oil leak dripping from around or under lift pump after a few weeks of driving. Re fitted with another new gasket and and sealant but still dripping. Jet washed engine to remove all oil traces in order to find exactly where leak is. Slight drip...

Will check hose on sat. Meanwhile you seem a pretty knowledgeable geezer when it comes to landy's. One of my windscreen wiper arms is always slipping on the new spindle. Any thought on getting it to push fit and hold securely?? Cheers DC

I did rub oil on rubber seal and I did take care to make sure everything was clean before attaching new filter. Don't think i'd classify as weaklin and am no mister universe so Ive probably tightened it enough. Hopefully the seal will bed in and the drip stop. Thanks for the advice anyway:rolleyes:

Hello Just changed my oil and fitted new oil filter. I now have a few drips of oil running down the filter. I tightened the filter as tight as I could by hand. Is this enough? Should I tighten more with grips? Any advice appreciated cheers DC

I dont know it the guage ever worked!? This problem occurred as soon as I a fired up the engine after a chassis strip down and rebuild. I guess I will have to get old of another guage to quickly plug in to test. thanks for your help anyway.
