With help from about 7 other mates we did the whole change over starting saturday morning and finishing sunday evening.

You'd be better of wet spray painting. Powder coating as soon as it is chipped lets water behind and within a few months you have clumps of the stuff falling off! If it was a race car I'd recommend powder but as it is a land rover I'd say paint.
