It would, it's absolutely begging for black plates.

Great thread. Could you put black number plates back on or do you have to fit white and yellow plates?

    New owner and his woes.

Garages can be right ****s. I bought a car from a car sales in Plymouth, Brake caliper needed replacing. then injectors, and because of the starting problems, I needed a new starter motor and battery. All within the first three months. I dumped the car on his forecourt to get an injector...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Moor shenanigans in the snow I had to do a hill start at like 45deg degrees on compacted ice  1st gear, traction control kicking in and off she went  I had to go off road to get past 2WD cars blocking the road, who were trying to dig themselves out of trouble. Again she didn't put...

Looking at getting back into the fold

Always look underneath and make sure propshafts etc are there. Even then it is no guarantee the 4WD system works. I used to hear stories of Cavalier/Calibra 4x4s having buggered transfer boxes. They were made from the foil Cadbury use for their chocolate. Vauxhall charged £2.5K for new ones...

What have you done to your Freelander today

It'll be gone by this evening, the rain is going to clear it away. :( You can't go more than thirty foot off the road either, but it was enough to let me have a play and test things out. :D The army were up there live firing too, which limited the potential for exploring

Very impressed. Admittedly, there was only 2 - 3 inches, but it was on the moorland so steep hills and drifts. It didn't put a wheel wrong and inspired confidence in the car's capabilities. I went off the road and climbed back on with no problems at all. Good fun :D

    Freelander Bull Bar fitting instructions

No probs. At a guess you need to drill 30mm holes at the top and cut 16mm long slots on the bottom. Perhaps offer the bar up and see what is required to make it fit
