Right so need new gearset..... That's fine ashcroft is closed though! Bugger! So the 5th gear appears to have a press in collar..... So i have a tr7 box maybe? Thanks for the awsome quick responses

And to add to complications my 5th gear has no holes so I can't lock it in place like the guide shows..... Wonder what this is out of?

Hi guys am in the middle of the gearbox rebuild for the orange landy... have started stripping the gear box down and felt 5th gear teeth wear pattern looks even, but the teeth are almost sharp to the output side and the gear that rests on 5th has some small "chips" very very small but I can see...

Well I did write a nice post and then it got lost as I forgot to log back in :rolleyes: So got my discovery engine gearbox and transfer box out in one lump ;-) Dropped axles off :-) Question for all you guys/gals What's the difference between 3 bolt and 4 bolt steering boxes...

Have you got a build thread? Or a discussing it thread? What gearbox are you using? Are you fabricating the conversion plate for lt230 transfer box? Tell me :D I'm getting exited already lol :lol:

I got quoted 1650 from Richards Inc vat and delivery! No matter have just ordered a polybush set and new shocks :D Anyone fitted HD standard lift springs? Better shocks etc? I carry a lot of weight regularly and tow quite often (trying some fuel pump mods on my other one ;-)

Thanks did you use straps? Bulkhead attached or not?
