what are the symptoms with the car to make you change the pump ?

parts range have a set on ebay, why not go for a set of 18 inch hurricanes?,cuz im not being funny but iv never seen a nice set of 16 inch p38 wheels.

tbh i dont know,i would say so though, why are you changing the pump?,

thereare two pumps,one on engine, one in fuel tank,the one on th engine requires a special tool to remove/hold every thing in place and the one in the tank requires the tank out to replace.

if its a 97 onwards it should re synch itself by putting key in ignition,or put key in door press the lock button ,turn to lock, hold for 3 secs,turn to center,still holding lock button,remove key and it should work?

i read a thread on he about fitting a one way/non return valve in the fuel line to over come this,that could be an option.

if you buy it back and repair it a cat c has to be inspectedso has to be done right,buy it n strip it.

try ebay,make sure it comes off a p38 though as bmw sumps are different.

the pipes are clamped so should go back as they were removed.

thats the boost regulator for the turbo,should still start,connected or not.

thanks for that but its the bosch number im after,apparently there are 3 types of pump,,993,994 and995?,im told mine may have te wrong pump on as my engine came from a 525td,been on rovacom and injection timing is out and fuel temp too high,i know the engine was fine as i ran the donor car for 3...

rovacom saying injection timing is out, also fuel temp too high,is the p38 fip the same as bmw 525td fip. there are a few part numbers 93,94 95 .help.
