    P38 - air to coils?

I bought some hub joints expecting the very same thing.....contributing to bad ride... Took the P38 to be checked over by a good mechanic friend.....he said the hubs are in great condition, no play whatsoever......vehicle has done 122k miles.... The new hub joints are sat on a shelf...

    Drive UK to South Africa.

Whilst there is currently a raft of North African countries with a difference of opinion regarding who should lead them, generally speaking the entire width of North Africa is unstable at the best of times. Indeed as you head south, areas of the east and west coast are inherently dangerous...

    Newbie in Hampshire

Pretty standard to look at, was a 4.0SE but I fitted a new 4.6 V8 22k miles ago, RPI chips, heads tweaked a little, also removed the air intake box and fitted an air intake I made myself that allowed me to fit a K&N filter.....works a treat, improved mpg too. Averages 17 > 21 mpg depends if...

    Cheeky LPG question

I understood (In my amateurish way) that LPG required certification or your insurance was null and void? Is it not classed as a mod? Just checking :)

    Cheeky LPG question

Does anyone know of an LPG fitter or LPG company that would fit an LPG kit from a doner Rangie to another Rangie (It's a 2004 dated kit so should certify ok) The LPG companies I have contacted are only interested in fitting a new kit, supplied by them. Which I understand to a point...

    Alternate Spare Tyre Storage

Has anyone successfully (and safely) found a mechanism / product / technique for storing the spare wheel on the outside of the vehicle? Am looking to convert to LPG, using the spare wheel well for tanks and do not want to store the spare in the boot space. Thought about using the self seal...

    P38 EAS Problem

Must have been the threat of a coil conversion. Left on hi suspension setting yesterday afternoon and still sitting high and tight on hi-setting this morning  Only 8 valve block rebuilds later :violent: Just the vertical adjust blend motor to sort, the lower power steering pump pipe...

    P38 - air to coils?

My P38 used to tram badly on bumpy roads. Changed to gas shocks - marginal improvement. Changed bushes - marginal improvement Adjusted air suspension as reading indicated diagonal corners were riding high - made a differenceicing on the cake. Changed to NONE directional tyres (Pirelli...

Diesel P38 - Which Chip to go for?

I bought an RPI engineering chip for my V8 in 2007, never looked back... Expensive but worth it. Think they also do chips for DSE's

    EAS tricky test time

Also! I found that switching the car off at the ignition, whilst the EAS unlock software and cable were still connected and the software was still running, then unplugging the EAS cable, avoided the ECU throwing a wobbly, might just be the software I am using.

    P38 EAS Problem

To confirm, no bubbles and no air from ex port. My bad with the explanation...!! With one exception, the OSR bag has never stayed inflated since the valve block O ring replacement. The exception was when I fitted a valve to the end of the OSR air pipe to isolate it from the valve block and...

    Engine disabled message.

Another one of the problems on the RR tick list eh! The following worked for me when my P38 suffered the same problem due to a battery at the end of its life.... Start with the vehicle locked and use the 'generic' code. 1515 Unlock once lock 5 times, unlock once, and then lock 5 times...
