    Pipe missing??

Vilguy, Here's the actual picture of mine, The arrowed nippled is sealed, The arrowed pipe runs under the turbo and then has a Y piece, one pipe runs to wastegate the other runs to the pump, all pipes have been removed and tested and cleaned since the picture was taken.

    Pipe missing??

Happy new year fellas. .. Having delved a bit deeper the exposed nipple is solid so it's not that... I've checked the condition of all the pipes from turbo and no leaks, I've got a boost gauge coming tomorrow so hopefully that'll expose whether the turbo is knackered, other than that I've run...

    Defender 200tdi low on power

I don't have one but believe it's located near the fuel tank through the offside wheel arch? I'm actually having the same issue and have done all the above without success so far.

    Pipe missing??

OK, having checked, mine has a T piece so is connected to the pump, so what is the exposed nipple for or should it be blanked off? Cheers

Yes a 300tdi, only picked it up a couple of weeks back, ran ok on pick up but then suddenly wouldn't go over 40-45..... Having never owned a Landy iv'e been going through tips on this forum and google, service, lift pump, fuel pump diaphram, timing etc... if it just turns out to be a detatched...

The picture isnt mine but the nearest i could find on google, but mine has the exposed nipple, it might just explain why she's so sluggish then?:mad: Thanks Vilguy

    Confused

I can confirm that the cover CAN be removed without the need to remove the fan pulley, all bolts easily accessible.... Thanks for your input guys.
  13. Copperknob

    Confused

Cheers mate much appreciated. The fact the flange stays on the cover was behind my thinking that the pulley didn't need removing ( unless there are cover bolts behind the pulley) Cutting the head off the bolt was my next move, i'll keep you updated with my progress ( or lack of) :(:(

    Confused

Cheers kwakerman, not had the rad out but got the other 3 out by using an impact gun, the last one just won't budge, tried irwin extractor and a 340nm impact gun, cannot believe it's still holding.

    Confused

After trying most of today to remove the 4 bolts from the fan pulley as I want to check the timing belt and only getting 3 out I'm beginning to think the pulley doesn't need removing as it will come off with cover? ?? Every how to I've found says remove it apart from one I've just found which...

    pump parts

I'll check the actuator tomorrow , it's definitely connected but I believe they can stick? I do have another lift pump but it came needing different fittings to the old one so I need to get some, to be honest never having a turbo I couldn't reliably say if it's boosting or not :(:(

    pump parts

300tdi, I've given it a service so new filters, oil etc...cleaned out intercooler, all pipes checked and can't find any splits etc, lift pump removed and seems to be working fine although found it was fitted with sealant rather than a gasket so gasket replaced. It's just sluggish from word go...
