In that respect there is no difference, they are just as unboltable as each other. You will find defender panels (especially doors) much more expensive though. If its just as a muckabout toy some old series 3 panels would seem to be what you want. The wheelbase won't match for a disco though, so...

If I go to my dealer and ask about the cost of a 110 utility SW, basicish spec, what kind of price should I be looking at? Just curious what people have had as I don't want to be ripped off when I go enquiring. Cheers.

Hmmm< i can't expalin that, but sometimes the throttle linkages get worn and don't open the throttle fully anymore...

It must have been a duff one, the 2.6 is more powerful and has more torque than a 2.25, and revs higher too.

Have a look at this site - www.onetonlandrover.co.uk They are great motors, but VERY slow and you can't fit an overdrive. Tyres are getting hard to come by. There are only about 30 or so left on the road so its probably best not to do something you can't undo should you decide to resore it one...
