Is the solenoid connected to the starter and am I right in thinking it's located underneath the turbo on passenger side?

I smashed into a tree root no obvious damaged apart from my tracking now makes me feel like I'm driving across an ice lake. Also water in my starter motor I think, engine won't start after I took it home.

Was up at Parkwood today in and out of water etc, took car home and parked it up. Went back to it 2 hours later and it won't start. Dash lights, interior light, headlights and battery all work fine but when I turn the key to start the engine nothing happens, no ticking over, no noise at all...

Same thing happened to mine and it was the shock absorber. I know your mechanic said it isn't but just take another look. Mine made a very loud bang when going over any sort of bump. If you have someone rock the car up and down by jumping on the rear step and look at your shock absorbers you...

We got there at about 9.30 stayed till the end. Think I saw Warrior pulling out a guy with a smashed back window? Took a few videos and pictures, was a good day overall. I have a standard disco 300 only thing on it is diff guards and we got through all blue/red routes only got stuck once...

Today I replaced the radio cassette player with a CD player, replaced the gear knob and bought a tow rope, jump cables, hi vis jacket, jerry can (filled that up). Just in case ;)

The auto gear box is great and in my opinion drives better than a manual.

I remember reading somewhere to avoid supermarket fuel all together as per the above reasoning. They fill it with stuff that isn't very good for your car. I only use the aforementioned for both my petrol and diesel engines and have never had a fuel problem and from basic mileage tests they...

Hello and thanks for your replies. The underneath of the td5 looked fine and I took some pictures and showed a few people I know who have owned land rovers for years and they said it looked fine. I will check the 300 tomorrow for low range access, rust, smoke, test drive it see how it feels...
