Normally we replace oil after 3000-4000 kms with a new filter. So roughly according to my usage we replace oil about 4 times a year here i think.

Normally I check the oil levels in the morning before starting, so it has enough time overnight for the oil to drain to the sump. Its not that cold here in the mornings. Is this is a safe practice?:)

Hi, I have seen 3 marks and a slight bend on the engine oil dipstick of my 2.5N/A 90 Within what range should the oil level be? Should it be measured when hot or cold?:confused: Was not really bothered before and kept it between H and N (measured when cold), But after a recent rebuild...

Are they drum brakes? if so you could remove the wheels and check if one of the brake linings have come off. Happened to me once.

I guess these came with rear disc brakes... When were they introduced to 90/110, defenders? Is there any advantage in them over the others? sorry abt the heap of questions:) knew nothing abt them till now

Check for oil leaks, oil loss (clutch fluid), if yes its the slave If no visible changes, oil seeping down the pedal then its the master. I guess the washers have had it, get overhaul kits for both, repair system and add new oil. If it doesnt hold get new cylinders
