Update. Not done any changes but now the cars idle is erratic and cuts out and fails to start. After a while it does start. The rev counter goes high low high low and you can hear the engines idle erratically but you can go and start it a few hours later and its perfect but it goes tits...

Well it's humming to my ears, also called rover Ron and he also said it very well be the pump. He said because the tank was empty of fuel there could be a loss of pressure and the pump has to work harder and if it is faulty it may be the cause. Strange though how I turned off the Synergy and...

Just called my local LR service dealer and explained my faults and findings and he said that the most common fault is the low pressure fuel pump. I said when I turn on the ignition I can hear the pump (rear arch) and he said thats sounds faulty as the pump should be quiet. Any thoughts...

Will add to the below point. Misses was low on diesel and called me from work saying it took an age to start but put fuel in the car on the way home. But the car as above cut out and failed to start until I turned off the Synergy. Could be the filter perhapse?

Just changed the MAF from the Pierburgh ro the old Bosch and it now flies and back to normal. Will next weekend do a long run and see how if it cuts out then but it didnt after a test run just now and engine was hot. Hope its fixed but it does look like the Pierburgh MAF as gone tits up...

Cut out again and just turned over and over, waited for it to cool down and it started fine. Runs and starts great when cold but when its had a good run and hot it fails to start. Also noticed the Synergy2 is not working I turned it off and no differance whats so ever to cars performance so...
