Just got an advisory on my MOT about wear in lower swivel pin. I was planning to swap both the top and bottom pins while I'm doing the job. Most repair kits I can see seem to only have the upper swivel pin included. What other bits (shims, etc.) would I need to replace the lower pin too - or...

Must admit I'm edging towards finding a decent local fitter to do the job preperly.

The seal around the windscreen of my Defender 90 is getting a bit "frayed" at the corners. It doesn't seem to be leaking visibly yet but I think it might only be a matter of time... I've looked around the forum and it looks like quite a complex job to get the screen out and fit a new seal...

Have now done the job. Had to buy some new shims and then adapt the bulkhead ones a bit but the hinges fitted fine and now no more sagging doors (at the front at least).

Hello All Recently bought a Defender 200tdi and already found the forum brilliant !! I need new front door hinges and have been offered some new-type ones (at least newer than the ones on my Landy). Does anyone know if they'll fit, or should I say no and go for the original type ?
