    Vicious fan question D2

How easy should the viscous fan be to turn with a cold engine? I know this will be subjective but I recon that mine is too stiff and is dragged round at belt speed with a cold engine - it certainly shifts some air from the get go..

    Disco 2 Advantages of LPG

Almost certainly voiding your insurance. They are very sniffy about professional installations.

Disco 2 CB Radio for Disco 2 and where best to fit it

A UHF CB band was used for UK CB's but is now defunct and illegal to use. VHS was the crappy old video tape format that won over Betamax and Video2000 formats! ;o) VHF is the radio band that the handheld PMR radios work on. There will be no one radio solution for CB (27mHz band) and PMR (466mHz...

Disco 2 CB Radio for Disco 2 and where best to fit it

Do not buy this, or any of the other UHF/VHF radios mentioned in these posts, unless you are a licensed ham radio operator as these are solely for the ham bands and would be useless to you.

    reuse crush type metal gasket?

How flat is flat? Machined surfaces will only seal together where they touch. Liquid under pressure finds very small gaps to go through hence gaskets that deform to touch both surfaces to effect the seal. Slip guages that ring together may be flat enough (before deforming them under bolt...

    reuse crush type metal gasket?

They crush to form a seal on uneven faces. Re-using a seal that has already been worked is not a good idea generally.

Disco 2 So the disco 2 needs welding again.

The bevel is to aid the fusing but on thin sections such as 3mm it really is not required. If you are new to welding spend some time on YouTube as there are some really good tutorials that will give you some great tips. Weld some short lengths of plates together like you expect to do on the...

Disco 2 How to get in without whacking head?

Hardly ever bang my head getting into the drivers side but regularly bash my head on the passengers side - it drives me bonkers that this happens !!!!!!

Just had mine done - Off-side leg replaced with one of these; http://www.brookwell.co.uk/discovery-2-chassis-legs-rear/ Labour from a professional mechanic to remove the fuel tank, put a patch on the near side and weld in the off-side leg, paint and waxoyl the rear chassis was £335 inc. VAT...

Problem accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear

28000 revs - that's your problem right there!!! Seriously - almost certainly simple like fuel filter. Change it first and reevaluate. If still problematic then make sure fuel pump is running sweetly (sound is a good give away) then move onto things such as boost modulator valve and oil in the...

A glacier moves faster than my TD5

Sounds a little like a problem I had. Change the fuel filter and look for oil in the ECU red plug. Fuel filter is a reealy good bet and only cost a few quid.

Hi guys, Noob question I know but from the searches I have done I can only find out the post 1999 P38's have 4 wheel TC. Is this from a certain date in 1999 does anyone know or are there other clues to look for other than just the date? Just about to start looking to buy one within the month...

    Hello from Derbyshire

As it says really - Eyup! Just about to buy a P38 or Disco II as funds will allow after selling a GT4. Probably one of the only things to run that is more expensive than a RR or D2 :D Cheers, Matt
