D2 sundroof glass to frame seal

Hi all, As Land Rover no longer sell the rubber seal that the glass pulls down on to does anyone know if these are available from elsewhere? Cheers, Matt

    Disco 2 Centifugal filter noise

Doesn't sound like there is much oil in there. You should hear it spin down but it should not have any rattling sounds. Worthy of more inspection!

    TD5 Oil in loom

Been there, done that pressurising the electronics box with nitrogen to try (and I do mean try!) to stop water finding its way down wire cores on a surface system on the railways. Was ok until the nitrogen runs out and you cannot get to it to refill for a few days - bleeding disaster :( Much...

Disco 2 TD5 ES - Head Unit Swap

Hi Rhys - good stuff! My Incartec interface was set at 50% from them and it seems to be OK without any further adjustments. Re-foamed the rear subs and it all sounds pretty good now :)

    Disco 2 Turbo spool up

Spooled up really means that the turbo is producing boost pressure that is noticeable but not necessarily full pressure. On every turbo engine I have owned this occurs more or less when you can hear the turbine 'whistle'.

Mine's up and running about 1300 too

Just for the record - cracks are never meant to be there...;)

Disco 2 TD5 ES - Head Unit Swap

I finished installing it all this afternoon and it all works a treat! Only thing is the Incartec web site is wrong for the Alpine head unit kit - you do not need to buy the RCA sub out to mini DIN converter as this is for the Becker system and not the Alpine. The only buggeration is the the...

    Disco 1 Rear caliper replacement

It is a really really bad idea to crimp stainless braided Teflon brake pipes like Aeroquip or Goodgidge - you will irrevocabley damage them.

    Immobiliser activated

Thanks for the links - and to Sierrafery and others for all the good advice in the links! Took advantage of the good weather to look into this a lot further and even though the carpets were dry on top I had a water leak over and into the BCU. Not much but enough to have dropplets of water on...

    Immobiliser activated

Thanks for those pointers and info. Once the rugby is finished I will go and look at the led sequence although I didn't notice anything unusual. Yes I am trying to start directly from unlocking from the fob. When I find the spare key I will try that also to eliminate the fob but I would guess...

    Immobiliser activated

Whilst changing out the head unit (maybe a coincidence) I appear to have activated the immobiliser. Car hasn't been used for a while but the battery is in great order and on maintenance charge. Key fob locks and unlocks without problem. Key put in and turned to position 2 - fuel pump runs OK...

Disco 2 TD5 ES - Head Unit Swap

I am just installing a Sony head unit into my D2 Harman Kardon Alpine system and I am buying this little lot to do so; https://incartec.co.uk/landrover/1343/1033/2049/165/Browser.aspx These adaptors allow for the original fit amp, rear door subs and steering controls to be used.

Disco 2 Need a new Radio

Does this work OK with the steering wheel controls and your under-seat amp?

    Disco 2 Disco down....

How the hell did that happen??? P's hope all the soft sqidgy parts are OK?

    Vicious fan question D2

Cheers for the info chaps. I didn't realise that the fluid had to circulate before slip was allowed. I will try the rolled newspaper pokage later and see if it really is too stiff or OK. Matt
