    300tdi Radio pinout diagram?

The A and B connectors are standard ISO ones, which should fit 99.9% of today's stereos. AFAIK there's no standard for CD changer connections. The above diagram, or a Google search for "car stereo ISO connectors" will show a diagram of the relevant connections - the car you're fitting it to will...

Strange letter from the DVLA - still no log book

Only guessing (I've never bought a dodgy car) but there's probably at least 1 clone of your car out there somewhere.....?

    spider problem maybe

Is the car stolen? If not, then why has the original alarm system been removed, and if so, how was this done?

    spider problem maybe

Sounds like the crash inertia switch to me too. They can go faulty and become over-sensitive. Do you have 1 or 2 buttons on the keyfob?

It can be transferred from one bumper to the other.

90 running rough after pay n play day

WD40 is a lubricant. I'd not be spraying it anywhere near drive belts, which are required to grip their pulleys to transmit a load etc. I'd say you've already blown the head gasket and maybe warped the head. Sniff test, or coolant pressure check, or oil pressure check, or cylinder compression...

    dodgy?

There's a difference between new and secondhand parts. New and standard is fine - so long as you have the receipt for it. Secondhand, isn't, because its also the part that determines the identity of a vehicle. If you wanted to re-use a secondhand chassis off another vehicle, then that becomes...

    Rear door handle

I had a similar issue, and also my interior handle didn't open the door. I took the trim panel off from the inside, and after looking at the rods and levers in the mechanism, twigged which one activated the latch to open the door. Strangely, my issue was that the handle stuck in the open...

    5 lt transmission filler for £ 15

I bought a 1 litre bottle of ATF about 10 years ago and it came in a bottle with a spout. With enough 'stocks' of various grades of oils on the shelf, its an easy enough job to empty it and fill it with whichever fluid is required. By bulging it out, I can get about 1.3l in, then squeeze it out...

    Idiots at Darwen Towers

Scratching my head why they needed to send 2 helicopters and 4 mountain rescue land rovers, and even then they were unable to pull them out. Also, why didn't the police prosecute them???? Seems bizarre. I suspect there's more to it than at first seems.

How to stop the shock absorber from turning when undoing the bottom mount?

Good luck getting an allen key to fit in there! Some have a pair of flats, though, something like 8mm, but its very easy to chew this up.

How to stop the shock absorber from turning when undoing the bottom mount?

Firstly, do you need to reuse the shocks or not? Grip it with a pair of water pump pliers: If you're worried about scratching them, then stick a couple of wraps of duct tape around the base of the shock where you're going to grip it, and/or the jaws of the pliers. If that doesn't...
