Out of the 2.25 diesel and petrol engines, which do you prefer and why? :)

The site at dunsfold says they used brand new unpainted body panels, which were glued on so the rivets wouldn't show? Though this wasn't the landrover I was thinking about anyway, I've seen an article before about a 110 landrover where the owner had done the same thing.

Brilliant!! Do you have a bigger picture, or the website link where this is? Everyone seems to know whatever is needed on this site! That's pretty usefull as I'm always asking a lot!! :)

I once saw a picture/article in a magazine of a landrover which instead of being painted had just polished alloy body panels showing, this was treated I would guess..... Does anyone have a picture of this landy or one like it? I want to show a friend what it was like......

Thanks Steamcoaster, I'm okay with an engine at the moment. The 2.6 is a kinda spare I have..... Well.... from what I've heard I won't use it myself. I'm guessing it's not worth anything non-running... and it'll probably cost more to get running than it would then be worth to sell running...

What makes you say that? Do you use one yourself, or have you heard good things?

The thing is I've always liked the 2.25 engines I've had, and sooo cheap for all parts.... and strangely I've never found them as underpowered as people say.... always being able to get a decent speed on the motorway. I see a lot of people put the 2.5 engine in the landys and I gather they fit...
