Data, Also on a serious note - It is usually the tailgate not closing properly what is causing the random lock/unlock. Adjusting the catch usually resolves this issue. :)

Fitted the new core plug, new thermostat( what a b*gger that is to replace)... took my time filling it back up again. First time idling it started overheating again :frusty: Gently pulled back the small hose (from top to t-stat) let all the air and steam escape. Filled up the exp tank again...

That was the thing...I do not have a cd changer fitted. Don't know if someone removed it or it was not an option for my model.... I had an almost new head unit in the garage so thought that would be a better/cheaper option than buying a cd changer :)

My original head unit is connected to a seperate loom/plug for the amp. This is not used when fitting an aftermarket unit. I have perfectly clear sound.

I saw that the new gaskets are made of a different material than the ones that were on. I now have gasket material with 1 'metal' side instead of the multi layer metal one. Which one is best? I understand the metal part of the gasket goes against the manifold side, right?

I've put a new head unit in with USB/SD/BT and it was just plug and play. The only thing I had to modify was the aerial plug. Subwoofer in the back for some real LOW bass...cracking sound now :)

I have tried most 4x4s out there as well. Sofar I'm most impressed with the Toyota Landcruiser. Can't really comment on the RR ....haven't really driven it yet, apart from up and down the drive :) I hope to have this pleasure soon though...
