Have you jacked up the Disco with rear axle hanging ? Best to jack it up under the axle so the shaft is in its 'normal' position .

I would advise change it - repairs on those don't work ; and a small leak suddenly becoming a big one could cause expensive damage .

Would agree that its a swivel seal has failed ; One easy option would be be to use the one-shot swivel grease from Land Rover - comes in a tube and you can use it instead of oil ; lasts a long time and seal will hold it in - so you won't have to change the seal .:)
