So you rub down the metal first with a pad, and then just paint/spray the 80% phosphoric acid on?

Thanks for all the great feedback - so this weekend managed to get the power washer underneath it. Alot of muck... to which I had then turn the power washer on the drive! Also took a pad on a drill as suggested further up the thread - which works well. So next question(s) are how do you manage...

So problem explained - it turns out to be the motor! New part on the way, though would loved just to have bout the motor, but with the mechanised stuck on down, I couldnt get to the third screw - unless you wily foxes know something I dont... which is highly probable! :D

I have no idea of what the 2 fuses are connected to the battery - whats the best way to find out? I think you are bang on with the previous owner and doing their own mods! I've taken the door card off, and checked the wires between the door and cab and all seems fine. So next thing is to...

A few more pictures for you - I've followed the wires from the windows, back to the centre console, to which I can see 2 relays (circled in green). Do they ever malfunction? I'm getting a reader tomorrow, so I'll be able to take some readings - though no no broken wires I'm pleased to say!
