BECM & GEMS definitely have gearbox type setting. Can't find anything in Thor or EDC. BECM Settings: GEMS ECU:

+1 on Why ? A few guesses: - BECM (& possibly engine ECU) will require settings changed. - Modified wiring for Reverse & Neutral switches. - Bell housing & Clutch bits, plus clutch master ? - Replacement pedal assembly ? Again why ?

Drive Cycles are in RAVE. Definitely a challenge to do leagally without MOT or Insurance !

If I remember correctly, NRV-1 is the one facing opposite the other two. The brass end is towards the tank, so the air pressure closes the NRV.

FYI, it's not the CDL Motor you need working. It is the CDL Microswitch you need to check. The motor does the locking & unlocking, which you can simulate by locking manually. The CDL Microswitch plus the Keyswitch are what tell the BECM to unlock & enable the engine. Verify these first.

Generally a diaphragm failure causes problems with the system not filling the tank. My guess is it's probably ok. Also if the NRV cones have any wear, find the best one and use that for NRV-1. The other two only impact operation if the solenoid valves are leaking.

Update: The other day, I replaced all the injection pump & regulator seals. New fuel rail sensor as well. Re-sealed the power steering pump & cleaned up loads of oily gunk all over the pulley's, aux belt, etc. Replaced thermostat. Exhaust still really smokey, but at least engine gets...

Tank leak will usually be NRV-1. With the system off, air leaking through NRV-1 will pass through the dryer, and lift the diaphragm, hence inflating the balloon (path of least resistance). Some of this air can also escape via the dryer seals & compressor, but most of it will go out the...
