Put key in and as new a bit sticky, so turned to position one, then 10 seconds later started. Rear sunroof opened and the gearbox lights flashed. Had to restart to clear lights. Should I get looking for a fuse box?

I have managed to put a wheel up high under each arch diagoinally, so I am sure it is pretty flexible, never lifted a wheel except on hard cornering on road (inside front can lift)

The high tuned VW lumps can wear out very fast, as to heavy detune, see TD5 at they are very derated as standard.

I have late 2003. Just buy a new genuine MAF. And make sure boost is correct. No MAF or dodgy are a lot worse.

Good for rear passengers due to no transmission tunnel. Seats are good, but not quite as good as a late big Vauxhall on long trips. Kids prefered the D2 due to height and no prop tunnel, I found it easier to get into VX rear seats as more room. I do miss the 3 figure cruising speeds though...
