It could be a number of things to be honest… Does the noise change with road speed or engine speed? Does it change/happen when in a particular gear, or neutral? With the clutch in or out? Any difference when turning in a tight circle? Does it still have a functioning VCU and 4wd? Have you done...

I’d have loved to, (I did enquire 😁) but to qualify for this one, the car has to be earlier than 2002. I could have got my old F1 from my daughter, but even that is too young at 2004! 10 days plodding round the Himalayas in a car is right up my street. I’d like to do the Mongul Rally one year too.

I either buy genuine or a known brand aftermarket when the genuine is stupidly expensive. But I’d have thought borg & beck to have been a decent brand in general… Still - every day a school day! And I’m a dab-hand at front suspension de/reinstall on an F2 now 😁
