No, you are right, it just dropped on the springs that are old, so the entire rear, the front was not so noticeable I need to swap out the other springs and get a couple of replacement rear height sensors if the cleaning of connectors does not work.

The rear springs are Dunlops fitted 8-10 years ago, so on the limit age wise, but only done maybe 20-30K miles in that time. The age probably trumps that. When the schrader valves were on it it stayed up for 3-4 months with no issues, then very gradually the rear started dropping after that...

10 years ago it failed an MOT due to an EAS fault that appeared at the time of the MOT, caused by leaking bags. All 4 bags were then replaced with new Dunlops. They have been perfect until now. I (as we al do) spend a lot of time under the car staring up, so I am sure I would have noticed...

I cannot say whether the rear hatch was left open or not.

I was charged 4 hours labour to fit the steps, so it was dangling at least 3, could be more.

The bags are Dunlops fitted 10 years ago and have seen about 3-4K miles a year.

I did not T them in, just attached them directly to the lines that came out from the block. i could T them in for future usage.
