    Correct coolant for a 1999/T P38 (Thor)

I haven't needed to top up since the engine was completely rebuilt 18 months & 15K miles ago. I actually have an unopened litre of ready diluted OAT in the boot if the level ever drops.

    Correct coolant for a 1999/T P38 (Thor)

We have three taps in the kitchen. Hot & cold softened water plus cold straight from the mains for filling up the kettle. We would never have considered fitting a water softener which was already installed when we moved into the house. It's a nice to have & only costs a quid or two a month for...

    P38A Height Sensor replacement

Likewise. New airsprings all round about 5-6 years ago. Methodically recalibrating the EAS about 4 years ago got rid of the little dance when stationary at traffic lights & road junctions. I do about 8-10K miles per year but the last time I had any issue was a year ago when it threw an EAS fault...

    Correct coolant for a 1999/T P38 (Thor)

We have a water softener. What comes out the tap is deionised water so I just use water straight from the tap.

P38 How to remove rear wiper arm?

I had to do this recently as the rear wiper motor failed so I swapped it for one from a breaker. I'm not sure that I understand what problem the OP is having. It's just as it says in RAVE. You flip up the cover over the nut then get a spanner on the nut & undo it. I put penetrating oil on it it...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I only discovered that there was a difference in size when trying to fit a 39mm at the rear where a 36mm was required. The heat sink on my 39mm lamps was shorting out every time that I tried to fit the oversize bulb. Interestingly the circuit went out but it wasn't as I thought the fuse blowing...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I bought some of these that provide a much nicer light. Instead of the three LED dots there are a dozen smaller ones that give a more even light. You need a 39mm for the front & 36mm for each side at the rear.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I have the original P38 bottle jack but prefer to carry a trolley jack. Touch wood I have never needed to change a wheel at the roadside but wouldn't be comfortable using the supplied bottle jack.

    [P38] Exhaust gases in coolant

I had V8 Developments completely rebuild my engine nearly two years ago. They did a complete turnkey job removing & replacing the engine. I just dropped the car off then collected it later. Be aware that you may need to wait some months before they have a 'slot' to fit you in. I went for...

They look just the job. Please can you provide a link so I can buy some too?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

@Flossie Can I ask where you got your LEDs? I got a set of LEDs from eBay & have just replaced all my interior lamps but would like some that are a bit brighter. I would also prefer a warmer colour as the ultra white LEDs I have look a bit out of place in the P38.

    Air to Springs

There are no rubber components in the fuel line that will be adversely affected by ethanol. When I am in France I run my P38 on E85 (85% bioethanol) which is half the price of E10. Like LPG the calorific density of ethanol is less than petrol so fuel consumption is reduced. I get 18mpg with E10...

    Range Rover P38 4.6 V8

    Happily it's not that expensive. Before 1st March 2001 it's £345 & after it's £415.

At least I only made a deliberate childish misspelling to highlight deliberate childish misspellings.

It is available worldwide on the Internet at no cost but perhaps you read it in what I must call the Torygraph (as you appear to enjoy childish misspellings)?

Likewise all the catastrophising about how awful pubs & restaurants would become after smoking was banned.

    L322 Road tax Proposed

It's the old cliche that the UK wants the level of public services they have in France but only wants to pay US levels of tax. Government spending as a share of GDP in France is getting on for 60% while in the UK it's 45%.

I'm surprised that your neighbours tell you details of all their finances. I haven't a clue what my neighbours earn or what benefits they are claiming. Perhaps you could list here everything that they are claiming & how much more than £118/week they are receiving?

As noted elsewhere. NI contributions are enough to pay the state pension. That's the whole point of the National Insurance Fund to broadly keep in balance NI receipts & state pension payments.

    L322 Road tax Proposed

No, that isn't how it works. NI is collected in the National Insurance Fund & basically used to pay for state pension plus some contributory benefits like sickness benefits. If there is a shortfall the NIF gets topped up out of general government funds & vice versa if there is a surplus it gets...
