Hi guys just to clear a few points up reference the EBcm and the ECM and keys... The ebcm as far as ai know is a 100% different unit to the one that was originally on the car, The ecm is also a 100% different unit to the oringinal one fitted to the car The keys though one is the original...

Parts on route to rick this morning first class

DEFENDER300TDI = I know exactly what you saying mate all i can say is, Doug said he tested the Ebcm on his car before he brought it up to me the second time, as the first time he could not repair it on site see.... When the Ebcm didnt start my car he suggested possibly fusebox or ECM I tried...

No bother guys i dont expect people to say sorry for advising what it might be or not fellas i take the advice and buy the bits that it could be off my own back id probably bought or thought about buying the bits anyway so its a process of illimination and after whats been replaced there cant be...

ELOTEC = ive tested earth to the Ebcm at the 10mm terminal on the side but not the engine ecu to be fair... DATATEK = The first time Doug came up he had brought loads of early Ebcms and parts for them and a working unit but he could not get it to graft as it not the same mine was the later...

No not fitted the coil packs yet Saint they are a right **** to get at and i treid sensor first... I thought about alternator too i must admit but not sure how to test it falla.... whats involved in testing it "Is it worth taking the positive lead off the alternator and repeating the...

No ive not got a sync mate mate... the battery aint been off since Doug was last here so it shoudn't of been lost the sync should it.... Rob

Hi guys ive fitted the crank shaft position sensor and its a genuine landrover supplied part from the dealer and its identicle and fitted as it came off with spacers etc all in place :) still no fire :( Rob

So in a nutshell i need to fit the crank sensor and the coil packs next and take it from there yeah..... On the other hand id gladly take ricks offer of fixing m car in 20 mins lol Saint = yeah its showing traction control error as well but like i said it never showed a fault and drove...

Ive got two new intermotor coil packs delivered today ive loosend the bracket but they are so tight i cant seem to get them out anyway so left them for tonight and the crank sensor is a new genuine one and ive not tried that ethier as yet as i only got it today but im working 8am to 8pm tomorrow...

If Rick is willing to come up and help me im willing to cover his fuel and pay him for his work just sick of pulling out and not getting anywhere thats all....

i dont know Kev i think its time to hand it over to someone who is willing to come and fix it to be honest test it all and i would guess be an auto electrician as well etc...
